Leather
All leather used by Rorin currently originates from the United States, Italy, France and Kenya and are the natural byproduct of waste from the meat industry or of natural death. When animal skin is shed for meat production and consumption, it is often discarded and burned, which is toxic to our ozone layer. Rorin now works with tanneries and leather suppliers that buys the otherwise discarded skins and transforms them into workable leather for our product.

Alligator
Our alligator skins are sourced from local Gulf Coast region family-run tanneries and are certified CITES. The CITES tag on each skin guarantees that our product is part of a sustainable use program that benefits both people and wildlife. We are dedicated to securing a partnership with our suppliers to develop hardware from recycled brass.

Ethically Handcrafted
All Rorin luxury pieces are designed, developed and handcrafted in our Charleston, South Carolina studio by founder and designer, Erin Tufts Cartier. We also work closely with our production partner in Kenya to produce small batch collections in effort to create an additional product at an accessible price while supporting a fellow female owned business.

Packaging
All Rorin packaging has been responsibly sourced. Tissue, packing tape, and stickers are printed with soy based ink, completely acid free and FSC certified. Handbag boxes come from recyclable materials without branding so they can be reused to store your bag, box a gift or used to ship another item.

Dustbags
Rorin dustbags are made by a veteran-owned business in Texas. We are committed to searching for sustainable alternative packaging options that helps protect and display our beautiful products without harming the environment or creating more waste.
